Nano USB Settings

Configure your Nano V1 altimeter by connecting it to your PC or Laptop with a USB cable and using this page. You also need to use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Opera browsers for it to work.

Requires firmware 1.60 or later. Changes are stored on the altimeter and take effect the next time it powers on.

Connecting your Nano

This tool talks to the altimeter directly over its USB cable. Your browser needs permission to use the serial port, which it will ask for when you press Connect.

  1. Use Chrome, Edge or Opera on a desktop or laptop. Safari and Firefox do not support serial access, and neither do phones or tablets.
  2. Plug the Nano into a USB port with a data cable. A charge-only cable will power the altimeter but carry no data.
  3. Press Connect altimeter. A list of ports appears.
  4. Pick the one that mentions TinyUSB. That is the Nano. If several are listed and none says TinyUSB, unplug the altimeter, note which entry disappears, plug it back in and choose that one.

If nothing responds, the altimeter is almost certainly on firmware older than 1.60, which cannot be configured this way. Update it first and try again.

Settings are saved onto the altimeter itself and applied the next time it starts up, so power it off and on once you are finished.
