Upload & secure verify
Our altimeters, such as the Nano V1, without their own inbuilt uploading system, can have their flight logs uploaded to the Altimeter Cloud.
These altimeters have AES-256 encrypted firmware and also generate a SHA-256 verification hash of the flight log's key details such as the time stamps and altitudes. They also secure the flight settings as flown.
This tool will both verify your flight log as genuine and upload your flight log for a chart and other features on the Altimeter Cloud.
Flight log upload & data verify
Just drag and drop, or click to select your flight log file using the upload box on this page. If your flight log verifies OK it will be added to the Altimeter Cloud. From here you can view it, share it and add notes amongst other features.
Of course, you also won't need to worry about losing a flight log on your device once it's stored safely here on the Altimeter Cloud.
How does it work is it really secure?
All Nanos run on AES-256 encrypted firmware that protects the secret algorithm that generates the SHA-256 hash verification key.
Both AES-256 and SHA-256 are considered unhackable with currently available technology, so the system should be pretty safe and secure!
Your flight log contains a SHA-256 hash which is generated from the flight settings and flight log details. When your flight log is uploaded, our server generates a new hash of the flight log. If the verification key and the server's key don't match, then something has been changed in the flight log that we deem unacceptable, and the log will be rejected.
I just want to verify a flight log is correct.
You can use this upload tool to upload and verify files, just add your flight log and click upload to manage either process.
