Our own altimeters sign their logs in the flight computer, and we re-check that signature, so a verified flight can be trusted by a contest director as well as by you. Logs from other makes are read, checked and stored alongside them.
Got another altimeter? These are the makes we read, and adding a second device takes a moment. If yours is not here, send us a log and we will add it.
GOOD TO KNOW
Is an imported log verified?
No. Only our own devices sign their logs, so there is nothing to check on a file from another altimeter. We read the pressure and the accelerometer axes and work the flight out ourselves rather than trusting the figures their app produced: altitude from our own barometric formula and then TruePath, burnout refined against drag compensated thrust. It is stored as an import, and marked as one.
A device only takes logs of its own kind
Send an Eggtimer log to your FlightSketch and we will say so rather than import it, because the flight would otherwise be measured against the wrong altimeter’s sensor limits.
Other altimeters you can upload from
Not just ours. Logs from these are read, checked and kept alongside your own flights. Choose Another make above to import one.
GOOD TO KNOW
How does verification work?
Each Nano runs AES-256 encrypted firmware that generates a cryptographic signature from your flight data and settings. When you upload, our server checks it independently. If it doesn’t match, the log is rejected as modified.
Need a CSV from an ACLZ?
Upload either format and you can download both. An ACLZ holds exactly the same flight as the CSV in a fraction of the space, so this page doubles as a converter in both directions: send an ACLZ and take the CSV away, or send a CSV and get an ACLZ back.
