The Mercury Screen displays live flight data and stored flight history from your Mercury altimeter. Connecting it takes just a few seconds.

Before you begin: Make sure your Mercury altimeter is turned off. Use a USB-C data cable — power-only cables will not carry the signal needed.

1

Turn the Mercury Screen on

Slide the power switch on the side of the Mercury Screen to the on position. The screen will wake and show the home screen.

2

Connect your altimeter while it is off

With your Mercury altimeter powered off, connect the USB-C cable between the altimeter and the Mercury Screen.

Turn the altimeter on

Now turn your Mercury altimeter on. During its startup it will detect the screen and begin sending data. You should hear a three-note connection chime within a few seconds, and flight data will appear on the screen.

If you do not yet have any flights stored on your altimeter, only the Device tab will show information. Flight data will appear after your first recorded flight.

Viewing your data

The Mercury Screen has four tabs along the top, accessed by tapping the icons:

  • Flight — summary of your most recent flight including apogee, time to apogee, maximum velocity and acceleration, burnout time, landing time, and launch pad tilt. Tap Switch to… to toggle between metric and imperial units.
  • Charts — visual charts of the flight: full altitude profile, an apogee zoom (±2 seconds around peak), and a motor burn acceleration chart.
  • Device — information about the connected altimeter including serial number, firmware version, hardware revision, battery level, cloud group, and sensor settings.
  • History — the screen stores the last 200 flights it has seen. Tap any entry in the list to reload that flight’s data and charts. While viewing a stored flight, an orange “LOADED DATA” banner will be shown at the top to indicate you are looking at historical data rather than live data.

Settings: swipe down from the top of the screen to open the settings panel. Here you can adjust screen brightness, enable or disable the connection chime, and clear stored flight history.

After 20 seconds of inactivity the screen will dim and then sleep to save battery. Tap the screen or connect an altimeter to wake it again.
